In journalism, front-page refers to the most important stories published in a newspaper, magazine or other publication. These are often news items of international interest, but they can also be local. The front page of a publication also teases other interesting articles that can be found inside the edition.
In 2014, three anonymous Jane Does who had been sex trafficked as minors sued Backpage in federal court, alleging that their traffickers used the website to advertise for them, and that Backpage’s business and editorial practices violated CDA Section 230. The district court denied the plaintiffs’ claims, and they appealed to the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
